What is stalemate?

Stalemate is when the player to move has no legal move and their king is not in check. It ends the game immediately in a draw — neither side wins. Stalemate is a common way for a losing side to save a half point, so when you're winning, always give the enemy king a safe square to avoid accidentally stalemating it.

Put it into practice.
